Federal Legislation – The Legislative Process

Before embarking into legislative research, it helps to understand the particulars of the legislative process in Canada, particularly how bills become law and the structure of a bill.

NOTE: This module will focus on the federal legislative process. The legislative process in place in the Province of Ontario is similar but different. You will learn how in the Introduction to Public Law and Legislation course.
