Of course, with 38 years of experience in Foreign Affairs, I do have a solid background onn Canadian Foreign Policy. I have been involved in policy planning (both political and trade) for over 6 years during my career at DFAIT. I have contributed a number of TV and Radio interviews on issues related to all facets of my experience and have written a number of pieces and comments at conferences all over Canada and abroad. As the Executive Vice President of the Conference of Defence Associations Institute, and the co-author of "Canada's Strategic Outlook" of the CDAI for 2013 and 2014, I am also involved in Canada's defence policy.
