Three distinguished graduates and one close friend of uOttawa’s School of Management were honoured on September 29.
Guy Laflamme, vice-president, communications, marketing and external relations for the National Capital Commission, and Guy Dupuis, vice-president, Series 7 development software release support for Cognos Incorporated, were each awarded the Trudeau Medal.
Joseph Nour, co-founder and chief executive officer of Protus IP Solutions, received the Young Achiever’s Award, which recognizes the success as an alumnus under 40.
The Dean’s Philos Award, created in 2004 to recognize the philanthropic achievements of an alumnus or alumna, went to uOttawa management professor Normand Fortier. Fortier uses his expertise to help community organizations like the Théâtre du Trillium, the French Language Health Services Network of Eastern Ontario, La Cité collégiale and La Nouvelle Scène.
