Dr. Leo P. Renaud, associate director of the Ottawa Health Research Institute, will receive the Biomedical Science Ambassador Award from Partners in Research on May 11, 2005.
Dr. Renaud is receiving the award in the scientific category, while long-time philanthropist, Max Keeping, VP, news and public affairs for CJOH-TV, is being recognized in the lay category.
The awards will be presented at a gala fundraiser at the Ottawa Congress Centre. The event, co-chaired by Drs. Peter Walker and Norman Barwin, will feature Canada’s Ethics Commissioner, Bernard J. Shapiro, as guest speaker.
