The Faculty of Medicine held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new research building at Roger Guindon Hall, on October 21. During the event members of all departments brought items representing the Faculty of Medicine today - 2004. These will be placed in a time capsule that will be part of the new construction. The capsule will be opened in 2054.
The new research facilities, expected to be completed in 2006, will provide 95,000 square feet of new space. The Kidney Research Centre and a new Institute for System Biology will be located in the building.
