‘Smart’ lending service gets trial run

The Library Network is partnering with the Ottawa Public Library (OPL) and the Carleton University Library in a lending-service pilot project.

This demonstration project will run until April 2005 and will allow library users, 18 years and older, to register for a SmartLibrary card at their local library and gain access to two additional library collections. Some restrictions will apply.

Registered users will also be able to search the collections of the two non-lending sponsors: Library and Archives Canada and the Canada Institute for Scientific and Technical Information (CISTI).
