From the initial admissions processes through the academic experience, uOttawa faculty and staff aim to deliver a high level of satisfaction to the student population. The University is again recognizing the importance of client service and all those who work in this area by launching the second campus-wide client service week, October 1 to 5. All faculties and services are invited to celebrate this week in their own fashion.
Providing exceptional customer service is often a result of well-delivered training. The Human Resources Service is reviewing existing training programs and will pilot a certificate program in customer service for uOttawa staff in January 2008.
For some exceptional individuals, training may not be necessary as they are already providing outstanding service. Their commitment deserves recognition. Guidelines for nominations for the President’s Award for Excellence in Customer Service (individual award and team award) and the Support Staff Awards of Excellence will be distributed to all staff at the end of October.
