Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport elections

Dr. Louise Walker, co-director of the Ottawa Sport Medicine Centre and assistant professor in the Faculty of Medicine, is the new chair of the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport Board of Directors. The elected position is for four years.

Dr. Walker is a former Olympic high jumper earning a silver medal in the 1974 Commonwealth Games. She is also the past president of the Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine and served as team physician for the Canadian women’s hockey team.

David Zussman, the Jarislowsky Chair in Public Sector Management at the University of Ottawa, succeeds Dr. Walker as vice-chair. He will serve a three-year term. Professor Zussman is a part-time Commissioner of the Public Service Commission of Canada and a former dean of the University’s School of Management.
