Professor Mahrer is a fellow of the American Psychological Association and past president of its psychotherapy division. He has written prolifically in all areas of humanistic psychology.

Rollo May was one of the most influential psychologists of the twentieth century. He is recognized for seeking meaning in human experience by combining psychology with an understanding of the arts and humanities.
