My research focuses on sexual consent, inclusion of marginalized identities in research, and evaluation of social programs and services. My research examines sexual consent and sexual and romantic aggression, including why people perpetrate behaviours such as non-consensual condom removal (“stealthing”) or respond aggressively to romantic or sexual rejection, as well as the experiences and impacts of these behaviours on those who are victimized. I also study the responsible inclusion of trans and gender-diverse people in research, and relationships, sexuality, and survival sex among people experiencing homelessness, while working closely with community and mental-health organizations on participatory research and program evaluation.
