Research Information:

My research examines why some people are more successful than others in areas such as postsecondary education, sport, and work. I developed the the Model of Excellencism and Perfectionism, a new theory that tries to understand subtle deviations that can transform our desire to succeed into unwarranted expressions such as fear of failure, negative reactions to failure, obsessive passion, performance anxiety, hyper-competitiveness, cheating, avoidance, and the pursuit of perfection.
