INFORMATION RELATIVE AU PARTENAIRE COMMUNAUTAIRE :
Organisation :
Queen Elizabeth Public School (689 St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa, On)
Description :
Queen Elizabeth is a warm and welcoming learning environment for students in this northeast community of Ottawa. Visitors to the school are able to view the artwork created by the students in honour of the Governor General’s visit for our 50th Anniversary Celebration. The artwork, which lines the walls of our school, showcases the countries of origin for many of our students. Students and their families experience an “open door, open minds” philosophy. Students are welcomed into the school early in the morning to get help with homework, work on extra-curricular activities or to just get an early start to their academic day. In addition to academics, students at Queen Elizabeth learn problem solving strategies and skills to help them become responsible citizens whiledemonstrating pride in their school. Graduates of Queen Elizabeth often come back to visit or volunteer at the school!
