Tabaret: new look, new direction
Wednesday, January 23, 2013
It must be said: the winds of major change are blowing across the University of Ottawa campus! While our university draws its strength from its deep roots and traditions, it also reflects our constantly changing society, and is focused on the latest social and technological breakthroughs.
Last fall, the University broke ground for its future Advanced Research Complex, a world-class centre on the cutting edge of technology, which will be home to research in photonics and geoscience. When this complex is up and running, it will make Ottawa the geoscience epicentre of Canada and the photonics capital of the world!
These major transformations are also reflected in our way of presenting information to you. We want you to be an eyewitness to our growth and success.
That’s why we are proud to present you this completely remade online version of Tabaret, more interactive and content-rich. Tabaret online will allow you to better keep up with uOttawa news, whether it’s our alumni’s achievements, our professors’ discoveries or our students’ many successes.
We will also bring you, among other things, in-depth articles on topics that have shaped our university’s history, profiles of alumni or remarkable students, updates on various subjects and, of course, campus news.
The University of Ottawa’s strength has always been its members. That’s why we would like to put your expertise to use! Send your ideas or comments to tabaret@uOttawa.ca. Your feedback is crucial; it will help us to hone our choice of topics, keeping your information needs in mind.
So go for it… don’t be shy! And make Tabaret YOUR webzine!
Enjoy!
