Suzanne Fortier is the new president of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC).
Fortier, appointed on November 23, 2005, previously held a number of academic and administrative positions at Queen’s University in Kingston, most recently as vice-principal, academic.
She succeeds Tom Brzustowski, who has now moved to the University of Ottawa where he occupies the professorship in commercialization and innovation.
