Alumnus Jerry Kovacs recently received the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal from the Government of Canada. The medal recognized Kovacs’s contribution to international peace and security.
As a cooperant[lfs1] with the Organization for Security and Cooperation (OSCE) at the Human Rights Centre of the University of Pristina, in Kosovo in 2003, Kovacs taught human rights courses to law students and lawyers. Kovacs’ mission to Kosovo was sponsored by the Canadian International Development Agency.
Kovacs graduated from the University with a Master of Laws degree in 1998 and a Licentiate in Civil Law in 1999.
