Nineteen University of Ottawa students are among the first group of recipients of an in-course excellence award from the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation.
These awards are given to Canadian students who have already completed part of their post secondary studies and whose talent and achievements have not yet been recognized by a substantial merit scholarship. A total of 830 scholarships were awarded to students from more than 200 CEGEPs, colleges and universities.
Lindsey McIntosh, a University of Ottawa student enrolled in the co-op option of the baccalaureate in commerce was given a $5,000 renewable scholarship. Seven students received a $4,000 renewable scholarship and 11 were awarded a $4,000 non-renewable scholarship.
