One of uOttawa’s most successful graduates, Jay Hennick, has lent his name to a challenging professional program in law.

“The Jay Hennick LLB-MBA program will create a new generation of leaders,” says Bruce Feldthusen, dean of the Common Law Section. “To name it after Jay, a uniquely talented entrepreneur and lawyer, makes perfect sense.”

Hennick, who graduated in 1981, is the founder and CEO of FirstService Corporation. The company is a leader in property management, commercial real estate, security, consumer and business services worldwide. It has annual revenues of US$1.1 billion and approximately 16,000 employees.

“I believe the program will produce lawyers who can better address the business needs of their clients; business executives who can better balance the legal challenges of contemporary corporate life and enable entrepreneurs to move seamlessly between both worlds,” says Hennick.
