uOttawa hosts international law workshops

The Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa will be hosting The Organization of American States (OAS): Workshops on International Law from October 22 to 26, 2005. This annual OAS event – convening experts in international law – is being held in Canada for the first time in celebration of Canada’s 15th year as a member of the OAS. 

The OAS conference comprises a series of consecutive seminars or workshops on international law. These sessions will allow professors, lawyers and activists from throughout the Americas to discuss and analyze different aspects relating to the Inter-American System. This year’s conference topics include:

  • Indigenous international legal issues
  • International human rights
  • International environmental law
  • The Inter-American System
  • The internationalization of the law curriculum\
  • Recent developments in other aspects of public and private international law
