Psychology students win case competition

A team of graduate students from the School of Psychology and the Centre for Research on Community Services in the Faculty of Social Sciences won the 2003 National Case Competition of the Canadian Evaluation Society.

Teams members included Gordon Josephson, Heather MacIntosh, Corien Peeters, Julie Perkins, and Angela Stewart. Drs. Tim Aubry and Bob Flynn coached the winning team.

During the final competition, held at the annual conference of the Canadian Evaluation Society in Vancouver, students had to develop and present to a panel of judges a proposal for evaluating a federal government project.The students had five hours to complete their assignment.

The University of Ottawa team beat eleven competitors from universities across Canada.
