Occupational therapist's contribution recognized by peers

Professor Paulette Guitard of the School of Rehabilitation Sciences was recently given  the Dr. Helen P. Levesconte award from the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).

The honour is bestowed upon a person who has made significant contributions to the profession through volunteerism, practical application of occupational therapy and representation of the profession at the local, provincial, national or international level.

Paulette Guitard definitely fits the bill. She was the faculty representative for the Occupational Therapy Student Association board for more than five years. Most recently, she was named chair of the Academic Credentialing Committee; a role she took on after seven years as a committee member.
