Among the employees honoured at the annual Founders’ Breakfast on May 10 were Ernest Lalonde, left, and Alex Dipietro.
An employee of the Faculty of Science, Ernest Lalonde received a standing ovation from 1,100 fellow members of the support staff attending the event when he was recognized for his 40 years of service at the University of Ottawa.
Dipietro was the recipient of an incentive award for a suggestion that resulted in a cost saving of about $46 on each of the approximately 2000 IBM computers that the University purchases on a yearly basis.
