Survey looks at non-profit governance practices

The Centre for Voluntary Sector Research and Development is conducting a web-based survey as part of a national study of board governance practices in the Canadian non-profit and voluntary sector.

The Centre is a joint initiative of the University of Ottawa and Carleton University.

The survey, developed in association with Strategic Leverage Partners Inc., is aimed at  people who serve on a volunteer board of directors, or work in an organization having such a structure. The results will be shared with non-profit organizations across Canada to help them become more effective in their governance roles.

The survey, which runs until May 17, 2005, takes about 30 minutes to complete. It can be accessed, in English or French, from the Centre’s Web site.
