Two professors join hepatitis C task force

Drs. Gary Garber and Lynne Leonard will join 14 other experts and stakeholders on a newly-appointed task force created to improve hepatitis C prevention and treatment in Ontario.

Dr. Garber is a professor in the Faculty of Medicine and the head of the division of infectious diseases at The Ottawa Hospital, General Campus. He is a founder of the Canadian Association for HIV Research and a founding director of the Ontario HIV Treatment Network.

Dr. Lynne Leonard is a social epidemiologist and assistant professor and research scientist in the Department of Epidemiology and Community Medicine. She has directed several collaborative studies in HIV prevention research.
