The Conference Board of Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, is establishing the CIBC Scholar-in-Residence Research Chair. Beginning in September 2005, the program will fund a scholar, who will take up residence for an eight-to-twelve-month term at the Conference Board’s main offices in Ottawa, and carry out research relating to one or more of the research themes covered under the chair.
The themes include growth and sustainability, Canada and international trade, Canada’s strategy for climate change, fiscal federalism, aging population, energy security, innovation, commercialization and competitiveness, and organizational performance.
The research will form the basis for a published report and a public lecture in 2006.
Potential candidates should apply by April 15, 2005. More information is available at the Conference Board’s Web site: www.conferenceboard.ca.
