A team of researchers from the Centre for University Teaching (CUT) recently received $550,000 from Ontario’s Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities that will fund a project to assist the integration of professors from other countries teaching at the postsecondary level in Ontario.
In collaboration with researchers from Ryerson and Lakehead universities and the Institute for the Advancement of Teaching in Higher Education, the team will identify the barriers facing internationally-educated university professors and develop programs for professional development strategies, enhanced skills in instructional technology and on-line faculty development learning.
Under the leadership of CUT Director Aline Germain-Rutherford, the uOttawa team is composed of Linda Manning, Donatille Mujawamariya, George Sioui, Christian Blanchette and Eric Kristensen.
