The University of Ottawa subscribes to the Community of Science (COS), which offers one of the world’s largest databases of research funding opportunities and researcher profiles.
The online network comprises 700 universities and more than 480,000 scientists and scholars from all over the world. The COS Web site houses a searchable database of nearly 400,000 funding opportunities worth more than $33 billion US.
In addition to these benefits, the network is also an effective way for scholars to showcase their research and expertise to colleagues, governments, corporations and media. They can also keep their CVs updated and accessible on the Web site.
