In her new position as manager, communications, Julie Lalonde has a mandate to develop and implement a plan to improve internal communications. Lalonde took over the position on November 16, 2004.
“My role will be mainly to foster a sense of belonging and pride among University staff. I think this movement must come from the grassroots and that's why I'm encouraging people to give me their ideas on how to do this.”
In her duties she will also manage the Communications Service's team of writers and editors and act as the liaison with the network of information officers on campus.
