The campus took on a festive air on December 1. The ensembles from the Department of Music, under the direction of Laurence Ewashko, offered a concert of traditional Christmas carols and other holiday songs. In late afternoon a crowd of professors, staff and students gathered on the front steps of Tabaret Hall for the holiday lights illumination ceremony. Rector Gilles Patry flicked the switch that activated the lights.

“The lights are not only a beautiful way to enjoy the Holiday Season, but will also make our campus a brighter place to study, work and celebrate,” Patry said. “Regardless of ethnic background or religious beliefs, the season carries a universal message that is truly echoed on our campus - peace, tolerance and good will towards one another.”
