The building that houses the University of Ottawa Heart Institute has been renamed in honour of Dr. Wilbert J. Keon in recognition of the personal, professional and financial contribution to the facility he created and developed. Dr. Keon, a native of the Ottawa Valley and a medical graduate of the University of Ottawa, developed and delivered Canada’s only complete cardiac centre, encompassing prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, research and education.
