The third annual Arts Walk contest held last October 6 provided an opportunity for students to show their artistic side. Contestants who were spread among 30 two-member teams were asked to make a chalk drawing on the sidewalks bordering the University's main thoroughfare, reflecting the architectural aspects of the casmpus.
The winning drawing was created by François Pelletier, left, and François Baril, who each won $300 for their efforts.
The event is growing bigger year by year, said organizer Martin Routhier, who works for the Community Life Service. “The idea is to put a little colour on one of the busiest streets on campus, while promoting the artistic talents of students.”
