Pierre Mercier became assistant vice-rector for institutional research and planning on July 1, 2004 for a five-year mandate. Mercier took over from Henri Wong who is retiring.
Pierre Mercier has been a professor of psychology at the University of Ottawa since 1987 and is the author of several publications on psychology and social sciences. In 2001, Mercier became director and dean of the School of Psychology.
