MBA students to benefit from mentoring

Certified management consultants will act as mentors to students in the University’s 12-month MBA program. As part of a new agreement between the School of Management and the Canadian Association of Management Consultants (CAMC), graduates of the program will qualify for advanced standing in the Association’s professional program leading to the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation.

The management consultants will supervise a student team, which will complete a major consulting assignment for a client. The assignment will be a mandatory requirement of the accelerated MBA program.

François Julien, director of the program, said the agreement is another example of how the program is responding to the needs of the business groundbreaking community.

“We are helping students build important linkages to the business world around them. Working closely with certified management consultants further enhances their grasp and understanding of how to approach and solve real business issues.”
