Alumnus becomes Comptroller General

Alumnus Charles-Antoine St-Jean is the new Comptroller General for Canada, effective June 1, 2004.

St-Jean holds a bachelor’s degree in administration and another in commerce with a specialization in accounting from the University of Ottawa.

In his new position he will – among other duties – oversee government spending including review and sign-off of new spending initiatives; manage financial, accounting and auditing standards and policies for the Government of Canada; and enforce appropriate financial controls.
