The University’s Board of Governors approved three appointments recently in the Office of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.
Dr. Robert Haché becomes Vice-Dean, Research, with responsibility for the Faculty’s entire research portfolio, by far the largest at the University of Ottawa. Haché holds several peer-reviewed grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
Dr. Ruth Slack becomes Assistant Dean, Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies. She will oversee all graduate and postdoctoral programs in the Faculty. Slack holds a University Research Chair and is a senior scientist at the Ottawa Health Research Institute.
Dr. Ken Dimock becomes Assistant Dean, Research Affairs. His responsibilities will include space, animal, equipment and regulatory affairs related to research. Dimock served previously as interim chair of the Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology.
