University to host panel on cultural policy

The University will host a panel with Max Wyman, Canadian president of UNESCO and author of The Defiant Imagination: Why Culture Matters, on
Tuesday, May 11, at 5 p.m.

This event will feature discussions on the issues surrounding Wyman’s book and will include the following panellists:

  • Shirley Thomson, former director of the Canada Council for the Arts
  • Peter Herrndorf, president and CEO of the National Arts Centre
  • Milton Wong, chancellor of Simon Fraser University and chair of HSBC Asset Management Canada
  • Tibor Egervari, acting dean, Faculty of Arts, University of Ottawa
