André Séguin, health sciences co-ordinator with the Teaching and Learning Support Service (TLSS) Centre for e-Learning Service, has received well-deserved recognition for his significant contribution to the field of distance teaching. He was presented with a certificate of achievement during the 2009 annual general meeting of the Réseau d’enseignement francophone à distance du Canada (REFAD), held at the Shippagan campus of the Université de Moncton.

During his nine years with TLSS, André Séguin has worked with the e Learning team and the Consortium national de formation en santé task force on computer-assisted learning to develop distance education materials, like CD-ROMs, for medicine and health sciences students as well as healthcare professionals. He is currently doing research on Internet use of youth and young adults born between 1988 and 1992 in order to optimize the use of new technologies in traditional and distance classrooms.
