The University of Ottawa is home to many accomplished and successful educators who may be deserving of a Capital Educators' Award.
Any educator currently employed by a publicly-funded elementary or secondary school, college or university located within the boundaries of the City of Ottawa, is eligible for nomination. Several University of Ottawa faculty members were finalists in the 2003 edition of the Capital Educators' Awards.
The deadline for nominations is March 13, 2004. Nomination forms can be filled out online at http://www.edugala.ca.
A panel of judges representing the community will review the publicly submitted nominations and select up to 16 award recipients from 64 finalists.
The winners will be announced on May 27, 2004 at a gala evening.
The Capital Educators' Awards gala is being coordinated by the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation.
