Following a successful Green Week during the 2007-2008 academic year, the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa (SFUO) decided to prolong the activity to a month long format with the goal of educating the university community about the environment and encouraging a lifestyle change.
This October, Green Weeks will offer engaging activities related to sustainable development. Activities include a film series, green bag lunches with keynote speakers, guest lectures, a sustainable business conference and active workshops that include such topics as balcony gardening and composting.
