With the Gee-Gees’ varsity teams playing season in high gear, there is no shortage of good sporting fun for the University community to choose from.
The women’s soccer team, ranked sixth in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport’s Top-Ten in mid-September, is playing hard with hopes of qualifying for the national tournament for the seventh time in eight seasons.
The football team is a Vanier Cup favourite and the team’s fifth-year all-star quarterback Josh Sacobie is in pursuit of four Canadian interuniversity sport all-time football records, including career yardage and touchdown passes.
The women’s and men’s cross-country teams are also on the move. During their recent season debut at McGill both uOttawa teams finished sixth - a promising start.
