Rock talks with University community

President Allan Rock continues to demonstrate his commitment to an open dialogue with the University community through a suite of communications tools. These include snapshot messages to the community, a suggestion box and a new blog.

Continuing two initiatives started by former President Gilles Patry, Mr. Rock uses snapshot messages as a one vehicle for communicating important messages and recent developments at the University of Ottawa. These messages are sent to all faculty and staff members via email.

In addition, the president is maintaining the suggestion box that was introduced by his predecessor earlier this year. This web-based tool is a means for the community to send questions or comments to one or all members of the senior administration via email.

The president’s most recent means of communicating with the University community is a new blog entitled Rock Talk. Through this bilingual blog, Mr. Rock will post regular entries about the progress of his work, as well as other subjects that interest him.
