The University of Ottawa Communications Office is delighted to announce the appointment of the new Gazette editor, Heather Lynch. Lynch received her BA in English Literature in 2000 from the University of Ottawa. She worked in various communications positions for the public service before joining the long and illustrious line of uOttawa alumni, who also work at the University of Ottawa. She worked in corporate communications in 2006 before moving on to the position of communications and events management officer in the Office of the President. Lynch officially took over as Gazette editor on July 7, 2008.
The Communications Office would like to thank Susan Hickman, who assumed the position on an interim basis after Mary Kane’s departure at the end of May. Hickman is a former Gazette editor and an alumna of the University of Ottawa. She works in Ottawa as a freelance writer-editor.
