Following the student by-election held on March 12 and 13, current Vice-President, Finance, Dean Haldenby was elected president of the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa (SFUO). Haldenby received 59 per cent of the votes against his two opponents, Renaud-Philippe Garner and Joseph Wesley Richards II. Haldenby and the other newly elected members of the executive (See Gazette, 06/03/08) will assume their roles on May 1.
