Marc Gobeil is the new director of French Immersion Studies. Gobeil, a proud alumnus of the University of Ottawa, joined the University on December 3. A Franco-Manitoban, Gobeil most recently worked for the Governor General of Canada. He understands the challenges of second-language learning and has participated in a number of initiatives promoting Canada’s two official languages.
The immersion stream is combined with a 120-credit program of discipline-specific courses. It provides an accompanying language courses for students who are undertaking their studies in their second language.
