Wet and icy conditions contribute some additional challenges on campus in the winter months. The University’s Office of Risk Management, Environment and Health and Safety offers a host of practical information to members of the University’s community on how to prevent winter slips and falls.
If you notice a problem, such as a slippery surface, broken steps or sidewalk, notify your building management agent or call Physical Resources Service at ext. 2222.
Should you fall, report it immediately. All injuries must be reported to your supervisor who will complete an Accident, Incident or Occupational Disease Report. Also, critical injuries must be reported immediately to Protection Services.
