The main piano studio of the University of Ottawa Piano Pedagogy Research Laboratory was named in honour of Sylva M. Gelber during a special celebration on December 3. This event also acknowledged a generous gift of $150,000 from the Sylva M. Gelber Music Foundation to the Piano Pedagogy Research Laboratory.
