Top 100 Most Powerful Women includes members of uOttawa community

The University of Ottawa is proud to share in the accomplishments of two of its own: Huguette Labelle and Barbara Vanderhyden have been named to the Women's Executive Network's “Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada” list.

Huguette Labelle has been chancellor of the University of Ottawa since 1994. She was nominated in the Trailblazers and Trendsetters category.

Professor Barbara Vanderhyden is the Corinne Boyer Research Chair in Ovarian Cancer. She was nominated in the Champions category.

The list also names several uOttawa alumnae:

- Dr. Louise Cloutier, chair, board of directors, Canadian Medical Association (Category: Professionals)

- Cheryl A. Doiron: deputy minister, Nova Scotia Department of Health (Category: Public Sector Leaders)

- Dianne Doyle: president and CEO, Providence Health Care (Category: Public Sector Leaders)

- Rosemarie Leclair, president and CEO, Hydro Ottawa Holding Inc. (Category: Public Sector Leaders)
