A graduate of the University of Ottawa won the European Best Localisation Thesis Award, sponsored by international Internet security technology company Symantec.
Francie Gow won for her translation master’s thesis entitled “Metrics for Evaluating Translation Memory Software,” which presented a new method to rate the various search-and-retrieval functions in such programs.
