The United Way’s Hubert Reiter Award recognizes annually the staff member whose pioneering spirit, social commitment and persistent efforts have contributed significantly to the advancement of a social cause, and outreach by the University of Ottawa, including the advancement of its well-being.
Award nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Be a member of the University staff (active or retired)
- Show evidence that the spirit of volunteerism has played a significant role throughout his/her lifetime
- Provide evidence about demonstrated leadership, creativity, cooperation and hard work that advanced a social cause
A nominee for the Hubert Reiter Award must be sponsored by a member of the uOttawa community and be supported by two letters of recommendation.
The application must include:
- Name, address and phone number of the candidate
- Name, addresses, and phone numbers of the sponsors
- Description of nominee’s accomplishments
- Relevant documents (two letters of support, awards, press clippings)
