Senior scholars of the University may be appointed to the rank of Distinguished University Professor in recognition of unusual scholarly achievement at the University, pre-eminence in a particular field of knowledge and a solid teaching record.
The nomination process is open, with requests for nominations invited from all members of the University community – students, professors and members of support staff.
