Having completed a five-year term as vice-president, University Relations, David Mitchell has accepted the position of vice-principal, Advancement at Queen’s University, a post he assumed on September 1, 2007.

During his term, Mitchell spearheaded the branding initiative, positioning the University of Ottawa as “Canada’s university.” He also led the University’s largest and most successful fundraising campaign – The Campaign for Canada’s university.
A farewell reception was held on August 30 to mark Mitchell’s contribution to the University.
